Mountain Marriage - June 5, 2021 - Pigeon Forge, Tennessee

Several years ago, Chelsea started bringing this red headed, bearded guy named Nick to our extended family parties. I wasn’t so sure about him. He was a bit quiet. I wasn’t sure if he was just her friend or her boyfriend, at first, but he kept coming around. I remember asking him about his work and finding out what great work ethic he had…something the Muetze family would approve of…and how he was still a hard worker even though he had a really bad back. The longer he hung around and the more times we saw him, I could see how much he really loved Chelsea and her son Joey, he seemed level headed and really took responsibility for things. He was helpful and kind…and Chelsea was smitten.

A little back story….

25 years ago, this sweet bride, this niece of ours, was in our Minnesota wedding, which she had to travel for, the colors were navy blue and yellow…and she was the flower girl.

25 years later, her wedding, we traveled to, Tennessee and the colors were navy blue and yellow. It too was a HOT day with lots of humidity.

Our wedding message was based out of Colossians 3 and my husband/pastor shared out of Colossians 3 for this bride and groom, our niece and “nephew-in-law” (Did you know there was such a thing? Is there such a thing?! lol).

Congratulations Nick & Chelsea on your mountain wedding. Here are SOME of the many wonderful photos Moriah and I took on your big day. The first looks of the day were quite emotional! Wow! First we had a first look with her bridal party - their reaction was super! Then we had a first look with her son, Joey - that about melted everyone into a puddle of tears. Then we had a Daddy First Look with my brother Brian - I got all choked up and made him tear up when I was “coaching him” like I always do with the guys. They seem to like knowing what they could say in case they are speechless and don’t know what to say. Then we had the final official First Look with the Bride and Groom! I was so grateful that the wedding party and all the people who wanted to watch gave them a few very quiet moments to have a beautiful start to their big day! Enjoy! And thank you to the fantastic horse that photobombed our photos! :)
