One and a half years ago Katie and Jason met on match.com. They talked online for two weeks before meeting in person for the first time. I'm not sure how quickly they fell in love but it must have been an opposites attract situation as she loves the Packers and he loves the Vikings! Uh oh!! ;) Actually this is the second couple who I've had the priveledge to photograph that have this love of opposing football teams!
Katie and Jason chose to have a very intimate ceremony on the edge of Lake Superior in Bayfield, Wisconsin outside the Bayfield Inn. They had a super sweet group of people who rejoiced with them, got super cold with them with the strong lake wind blowing off Superior, laughed, cried and ate cake and cupcakes with them. It was a beautiful fall day to get married.
After the ceremony Amy and I got to take them to do some couples photos in the area on the metal bridge and in front of the bridge and then we headed up to the orchards. On the way, I asked if they'd ever been to Erickson's Apple Orchard for their amazing apple cider donuts and they hadn't. Either had Amy! So we stopped by and got donuts. They were hot and amazing! It was fun to see them all enjoy them so much! We then headed to the orchard I have loved visiting over and over for photos and apples and their famous Caramel Apples - Apple Hill. Congratulations Katie and Jason!
